Deceased Name: Robert S. DeArment Worked as manager for E.E. Austin
Robert S. DeArment, 78, 519 Montmarc Blvd., Erie, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Saint Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Erie, son of the late Stanley and Irma Tappert DeArment.
He retired as manager for E.E. Austin.
He was a navigator on B-25 bombers with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a first lieutenant stationed at Foggia, Italy.
He was a member of Lawrence Park Golf Club for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Audrey Bednark DeArment; two daughters, Carol DeArment of Oakland, Calif., and Patricia Toth and her husband, Peter, of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Shirley Komula and her husband, Walter, of San Diego; and two granddaughters.
A graveside service was held Friday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave.
