ADDIE MAE (PEMBELTON) STANLEY , Mrs. Addie Mae Pembelton Stanley, 87, 305 Colorado Street, Johnson City, died on Sunday, November 30, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Franklin, Ky., Mrs. Stanley was born on September 21, 1916, to the late Earnest and Lou Ella Hite Pembelton. Mrs. Stanley married Walter P. Stanley on May 6, 1933. She was a homemaker and was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Fender, Johnson City, and Betty Ann Dempsey, Elizabethton; 3 sons, John Stanley, Billy Joe Stanley, and Charles L. Stanley, all of Johnson City; 13 grandchildren, including Terry Freeman, Elizabethton, and Rev. Gary Wayne Barnett, Chuckey; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Stanley; a daughter, Gladys Mae Freeman; a sister; and three brothers. The funeral service for Mrs. Stanley will be held at 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2003, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Rev. Jesse Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The graveside and committal service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to Monte Vista.
