Clint and his brother John left Kansas along with there families and moved to White Sulphur Springs Montana. They arrived on July 4th 1896. Clint settled there and had a place up on Newlan Creek. Clint and Daisy had two children, Ben and Eva who both migrated to California. Uncle Clint as my mom called him, was quite tall and lanky compared to most of the Walter family. There's a story I'm fond of that every year on opening day of Elk season. The residents of White Sulphur Springs would keep a eye out for Clint , as he always knew where the Elk were and would try to follow him.
