Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 1990 in the St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard for Mrs. Vorice Meche, 75. Mrs. Meche, a resident of Church Point was the former Elmire Lejune. She died at 8:30 p.m. May 4 in the
Acadia-St. Landry Hospital following a long illness. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Guidry Funeral Home.
Survivors are two sons, Albun Meche and Lubert Meche both of Church Point; three brothers, Leo Lejune of Church Point, Bernice Lejune and Wallace Lejune of Lafayette, one sister, Mrs. Norris (Evon) Melancon of Church Point; one grandchild.
