Andrew Mutzko married Pauline Marko. Their daugher, also Pauline, was born in Altwasser. My friend is descended from daughter Pauline and was told Altwasser was in Austria near the Czechoslovakian border. They immigrated around 1882 as a son was born here in the US in 1883. He said they spoke German.
Altwasser is German for/of Stara Voda in Slovak and in Czech.

Few Stara Voda's in Czech Republic and one village Stara Voda in Slovak Republic
My friend said he was told Altwasser meant old water and it was near the border of Czechoslovakia and Austria. Would this be Hungary or Slovakia?
