He fought Indians with Geo. Rogers Clark, farmed in Franklin Co., built his home in Frankfort, and founded Weisiger House, the inn at Main & Ann Streets. Daniel was a City Trustee and served on many, many boards including the 1st two capitol buildings, roads, local bank, & a bridge. References to him are found in many early histories. He was the town's first Post Master & first Master of the city's original masonic lodge. Originally buried elsewhere and reinterred here, his was one of the earliest burials in this cemetery.
