Marsden D. Guild Delta Township Marsden D. Guild, 88, born May 22, 1924 in Grand Ledge, MI, passed away at his home on September 24, 2012. Marsden was a retired conductor for the C&O Railroad; a veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy; life member of the Cole-Briggs American Legion Post #48 and the 40 ET8; member of AA for 35 years, and also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son Theron (Kay Ann) Guild of Wacousta, 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and brother-in-law Freeman Bever of Saranac. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, June, sons Dennis and Kevin, sisters Frieda Meister, Marguerite Gidly and Ellen Bever and brother Curtis Guild. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 - 11:00 a.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with Pastor Lyle Heaton of the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society or Hospice Advantage.
