Edwin Wells Abernathy, 78, retired salesman, died Sunday afternoon, September 19, in Park View Hospital, Nashville, Funeral rites took place at 10 o'clock Tuesday at the grave in Maplewood Cemetery, Pulaski, conducted by the Rev. R. Neal Dean, pastor of First Presbyterian Church.
Born February 11, 1887, in Giles County, he was the son of the late Robert Abernathy and Mary Wells Abernathy.
Mr. Abernathy, a bachelor, is survived by his aunt, Mrs. D. R Wade, Sr., Pulaski; two cousins, David R. Wade, Jr., Pulaski attorney and Mrs. Edwin W. Craig, Nashville.
