She married Carl J. Hallada at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Casco, Wis. and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1976. Irene worked at Paragon Electric for eleven years, and later did volunteer work at the Holy Cross Catholic School.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and was an Honorary member of the Holy Cross Altar Society.
Survivors include her three children, Roger C. Hallada, Pensacola, Fl., Donna Benzinger, Mishicot, Carl A. (Elaine) Hallada, San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael (Mary) Eland, Green Bay, and Elmer (Mildred) Eland, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by seven sisters; three brothers; and by her son-in-law, Earl Benzinger.
Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 423 So. Main St., in Mishicot, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be an Altar Society Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. at the church. There will be no Monday evening visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot with the Reverend Paul Paider officiating. Entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
