James, 81, of Hubbardston, passed away, Thursday, at his home with his family by his side.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday, October 26th at at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston with Fr. Douglas Osborn officiating. Arrangements by Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. A rosary was prayed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson City Hospital Garden Fund.

Raymond was the son of George and Loretta (O'Connell) McGinn. He graduted as Valadictorian of the 1947 graduating class of St. John the Bapitst Catholic High School. Raymond served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was married to Marion Roberts on August 21, 1954 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He worked in plant security for Oldmobile in Lansing for many years and served as the North Plains Township Clerk for over 20 years. He also served as a volunteer fire fighter in Hubbardston

Raymond was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir for over 60 years and was a Knights of Columbus member. He was also a member of the Hubbardston American Legion and enjoyed camping with his family and watching football on the weekends.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Marion of Hubbardston, four children, Michael (Cindy) McGinn of Hubbardston, Karen (Mike) Crystal of Fenwick, James Raymond (Satina Pavia) McGinn, II of Lansing and Kevin (Laurie Crystal) McGinn of Pewamo, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother, Jack (Jenni) McGinn of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Sharon McGinn, two brothers, George and William "Dugan" McGinn and two sisters, Maureen Dwyer and Helen McKenna.
