Born Doris Nellis on Staten Island, she lived in Port Richmond as an infant, moved to Westerleigh in the mid-1930s, and also lived in Pelham, New York, Englewood, New Jersey, and Mount Vernon, New York before settling in Horsham Township in the mid-1950s.
Mrs. Wing attended PS 20, which was built by her great-grandfather, architect and builder James Whitford I.
She was a graduate of Curtis High School.
While a Westerleigh resident, Mrs. Wing was a parishioner of Ascension Episcopal Church, West Brighton.
She worked as a receptionist and later as director of marketing for her father's cabinet company, Wood Metal Industries, Manhattan.
Mrs. Wing became a homemaker in the early 1950s.
After settling in Horsham Township, she was a volunteer fund-raiser for Abington Memorial Hospital, the Nurses' Scholarship Fund, and the Fort Washington Women's Auxiliary.
She was a parishioner of Trinity Episcopal Church, Ambler, Pennsylvania, and founded its Carnival of Antiques. She also chaired the church's Altar Guild for many years.
Mrs. Wing's husband, Ernest Wellman Wing, Jr., died in 1989.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Priscilla, are her brother, Dr. Richard E. Nellis, Jr., and her sister, Nancy-Linn Nellis.
There will be a private memorial service held from the Urban Funeral Home in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
