W.H. Young, 65, 1833 South Stoneman avenue, died suddenly Wednesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Briggs, of Long Beach, with whom he had been making his home for several months. Death was caused by a sudden heart attack and was very unexpected as Mr. Young appeared to be in the best of health.
In addition to his widow, Mrs. Kate Young, who has been ill in a sanitarium for the last nine months, the deceased leaves nine children and 12 grandchildren. The children are:
Davis S. Young, 1724 S. Monterey street, Alhambra; Mrs. Elizabeth Briggs, Long Beach; Henry L. Young, 2024 Brighton avenue, Wilmar; Harvey E. Young, Oakland; Mrs. Helen Lorena Storer, Hollywood; Mrs. Beulah Turbeville, Hollywood; William Russell Young and Lowell W. Young, both of Los Angeles; Thomas G. Young, New Orleans, LA.
Mr. Young was born in Kentucky. He had made his home in Alhambra for six years prior to going to the beach city to be with his daughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 30, at the J.J. Mottell parlors in Long Beach. Burial will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum.
