Charles Michael Majek, Sr., passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the age of 86. He was born to Leo Majek, Sr. and Rosie Majek on November 7, 1923. Charlie married Judy Peters on June 22, 1948. Together they raised two sons, six grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Charlie is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Rosanna; his parents, Leo and Rosie; parents-in-law, Raymond and Libbie Peters; sister, Mary Roschetsky; brothers, Joe, Frank and Julius; two great-granddaughters, Kathryn and Kimberly Reyna.

Charlie worked for the United Artist Theatres for 39 years. He was the drummer for the family band, The Leo Majek Orchestra from the age of 21.

Charlie served his country as a Spec 5 in the Army infantry, 763rd Tank Battalion. He was awarded 2 Bronze Star Medals and 1 Bronze Arrowhead during the Pacific Campaign and 2 Bronze Star Medals in the Philippines Liberation, World War II.

Survivors include wife of 62 years; two sons & spouses; his five grandchildren& spouses; & 21 great-grandchildren; one brother; a brother & spouse and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening in the Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
