LAUFFER, EDWARD L. 77, of Baldwin, formerly of Apollo, passed away on January 9, 2004; beloved husband of Lillian M. (Mangold) Lauffer; loving father of Jeffrey E. (Lois) Lauffer, of Mountain Top, PA and James B. (Jude) Lauffer, of Bethel Park; dear brother of Winifred Lauffer, of Mt. Lebanon, Martha Jane (Marty) Brown, of Arlington, VA, Donald K. (Marti), of Indiana, PA and the late Robert (Sara) Lauffer and Mary A. (Pete) Howell; dear grandfather of Scott, Jason, Dann and Kristen.

Edward was a U.S. navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #290 in Scott Township, a member of the South Pittsburgh Organ Society, and PATOS, he worked for Honeywell from 1950-1987 and was an elder and trustee of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be from 1-4 & 7-9pm Sun. and 2-4 & 7-9pm Mon. at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, where service will be held at 11am on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Academy, 600 East North Ave., Pgh., PA 15212 or the ALS Association, Landmarks Building, 1 Station Square, Suite 550, Pgh., PA 15219.
