Funeral services for Aaron A. Alford, 75, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Phillips and Luckey Chapel with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Revs. Allison Joyce and M.E. Brown officiated.
Mr. Alford died Saturday at Manor Oaks Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 6. 1902 in Forest Grove. Mr. Alford was a retired farmer and rancher. He and Willie Mae Boothe were married in 1925 in Rockdale.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Alford; two sons, John Alford of Rockdale and Lee. H. Alford of Thorndale; two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Caffey of Rockdale and Mrs. Willine Howarth of Memphis, Tenn.; also five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alford was a member of First Christian Church.
Pall bearers were C.E. Alford, L.W. Alford, Gene Kyle, Emery Alford, Lee Keen and Frank Alford.
