88, of Port Vue, died July 24, 2009, at UPMC McKeesport. Born July 21, 1921 in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of the late Stanley and Theresia (Nakonig) Soehlman and the husband of the late Flora Jean (Miller) Soehlman. Mr. Soehlman was a retired state inspector for Penn Dot, WWII U.S. Army veteran, well-known area organist, former clown at Kennywood and member of Port Vue and McK. American Legions, McK. Am Vets and McK. VFW. He is survived by children, Sandee (Tom) Nonnon, Melodie (Tom) Pelczarski, Stanley (Ruth) Soehlman, Leslie Soehlman and Darlene Gerber; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and beloved lady friend, Carmella Long. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm in WILLIG FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 412-664-9178. Funeral service will be held Wed., July 29, 2009 at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jody Dausey officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
