ROBERT C. O'STEEN, 76, of Fort Wayne died yesterday at home. The Shelbyville, Tenn., native retired in 1978 from the Fort Wayne Fire Department after 32 years and was a district fire chief eight years. He was a veteran of World War II, and member of Concordia Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 47.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; daughter, Diane Smith of Fort Wayne; brother, Fred of Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church.
