Born in Randolph county, she had lived in Delaware County for 40 years, moving to Muncie in 1952. During her earlier years, she had taught school in Randolph County for 15 years. She was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, Eugene Botkin, Selma; a stepson, Harley Ludington, Muncie; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Emily Jolliffe, Mrs. Thelma Marquell, Mrs. Edith Jones, and Mrs. Florence Ford, all of Muncie, and Mrs. Grace Grafmiller, Michigan; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren, and two nieces.
Services will be conducted at Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
