Mary (Whipple) Hibbard was the daughter of William Wright and Hannah (Adams) Whipple. She was the 1st wife of Rev. Dr. Freeborn Garrettson Hibbard. They were married in 1834. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: New York Conference 1830 F 1832 Troy Conference at organization 1832 Located 1836 Readmitted Genesee (now Western New York) Conference 1837 East Genesee Conference at organization 1848 Genesee Conference by change of boundaries and to Central New York Conference by transfer 1872 East Genesee Conference at reorganization and to Genesee Conference by consolidation 1876.

WHIPPLE.--Died Lima, Livingston Co., on the 4th inst., after an illness of five days only, Mrs. Hibbard, consort of Rev. F. G. Hibbard, lately of Rochester.
