Florence E. ' Betty' Macauley of Exton

Florence E. "Betty" Macauley (nee Miller), 87, of Exton, passed away on November 4, 2010.

She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Macauley. She was the loving mother of Diane Lackey, Marlene Macauley and Cyndi Macauley; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of her "tribe" of 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Betty was the founder of the local chapter of the W.P.S. and the president of the local A.A.R.P. She served in WWII as a W.A.C. and was the organizer of the women's celebration of the 50th anniversary of WWII which was held in West Chester.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life with a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 8, in Northwood Cemetery, 1 Norwood House Rd., Downingtown, PA 19335.

A memorial service will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Calvary Chapel, 217 Dowlin Ford Rd., Exton, PA 19343.
