Boy Struck By Lighting
During a severe electrical storm last Friday afternoon Joesph Beard 18 year old son of Dock Beard of Morgantown was severely shocked by lighting and rendered unconscious for a time. Young Beard was hauling paper wood to the railroad station for the Bogalusa paper mill when near the station the bolt struck a tree near the road and threw him and a pair of mules prostrate to the ground. Joseph was alone and cannot surmise how long he was unconscious. He soon was sufficiently recovered to return to his home near by. The mules came to life soon after Mr. Beard became aware that he had been struck by lighting.
