York, Maine. She ran away at age fifteen
to Biddeford where her Aunt Laura resided.
At age sixteen she married William Burbank Jr.
After William's death, she went to Haverhill
in Massachusetts where she worked in one
of the mills.
While there she met Horace Rumery.
They married and resided at Danville on
a large chicken farm on Pine Street.
Lois died while gathering eggs on the farm.

Widow of Horace Rumery.
She had lived at Danville for the past 37 years.
She was a member of the Danville Baptist Church; Danville Grange; West Rockingham Pomona Grange; New Hampshire State Grange; National Grange; General Walter Harriman's Women's Relief Corps; and, The Missionary Society.
Interment in Danville Center Cemetery.
