Osburne "Ozzy" Stacy Wolfe was born December 27, 1917 in Blachly, Oregon, on the home place belonging to his parents Ervin and Clara Petersdorf Wolfe. He passed away on October 2nd, at the age of 74.

He spent his early years working on the farm in Blachly, and became experienced in the logging industry. He loved this line of work, which he continued the balance of his life. He was an accomplished cat skinner and later worked for many years as a yard operator. He went to work for Hult Lumber Company in 1945, and continued at the same place of business as it changed hands to American Can, and later from that to Bohemia. He retired at the age of 65 in 1983.

Osburne served our country during World War II. He was inducted into the US Army on August 18, 1941. He served specifically with the Army Engineers in the South Pacific Theater until he was honorably discharged on October 15, 1945.
He married Trena Harper on November 2, 1966 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They resided in Eugene until his death.

In earlier years, he liked to restore old engines and make them run again. He liked to fish, and really loved dogs. He appreciated flowers, and would make nice comments about them when he received bouquets in the nursing home. Though he did not have children - he loved his step children and children in general.

He is survived by his wife Trena of Eugene; step children Harry Ronald Harper and Cathy Ann Cronk; brother Raymond Wolfe of Horton; sisters Margaret Owens of Blachly, June Hanes of Springfield, and Nellie Elam of Pinehurst, Idaho; three step grandchildren, Stephen Harper, Lee M. Cronk, and Jonathan Harper. Along with numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
