CARLSBAD - Mary Louise Jordan, 68, of Moore Drive, died Sunday (Jan. 15, 1995) at Lubbock Methodist Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Foster of Happy Valley Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1925, in Harrisburg, Ill., to Everett and Ethel Reed Jackson. She grew up in Harrisburg and Galatia, Ill. She married Raymond Jordan on Sept. 9, 1947, in Kentucky. They moved to Carlsbad in 1954. She was a homemaker and loved gardening and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 15, 1989.
She is survived by one son, Gary Johnson of Hobbs; two daughters, Debbie Skipwith and Vicki Jordan of Carlsbad; one sister, Bonnie Plye of Pontiac, Ill.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Black, Bryan Brown, Jim Dingler, Bart Frintz, Justin Frintz, Gary Lowe and John Skipwith.
