The Paris News, Tuesday, Feb 25, 1936, page 8 --- Mrs. M. J. Needham Buried At Hugo --- HUGO, Okla.-Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Jane Needham, the Rev. Ernest Hicks officiating at the home of Mrs. Needham's daughter, Mrs. R. L. Cook on East Kirk street with interment in Mount Olivet cemetery.Mrs. Needham, who was Mary Jane Tucker, was born August 25, 1845 in Lawrence County, Tenn., and was married to Enoch Needham on Jan. 31, 1861. Eight years later the couple moved to Hopkins County, Texas where Mr. Needham died in 1880. Since 1902 Mrs. Needham has resided here with her daughter. Of the 10 children born to her, only three survive, these being Mrs. Cook and Enoch Needham, and Collins Needham of Pueblo. Colo. Last August members of her family celebrated "Grandmother" Needham's ninetieth birthday with a dinner in the Cook home here and in December, Mrs. Needham met her grandson Bob Burns, radio entertainer, as he passed through Hugo.
