She was born in Albany, KY on July 19, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Delia (Dalton) Boeck, Sr. She married Paul P. Milz on March 23, 1931 in Monroe, WI. She and her husband were involved in cheesemaking in the Monroe, Monticello, and Belleville, WI areas, together, they also operated taverns and restaurants in the Sun Prairie and Mayville areas for many years. She regularly attended Catholic Chapel Services at Colonial View for many years.
Survivors include four son; Paul Milz of Evansville, Frank (Waltraude) Milz of Salem, Tony Milz of Evansville and Norman (Linda) Milz of Sun Prairie; two brothers, Freeman (Edna) Boeck of Brodhead and Delbert (Bonnie) Boeck of Monroe; four sisters, Thelma Lenherr of Monticello, Irene Riesen of Monroe, Eldora (Mike) Bregenzer of Monticello, MN, and Darlyne (John) Bernet of Argyle, She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the Rosemilz Family of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Lou Lehr; three brothers, Clarence, Frank and Ralph; a sister, Florence; and two great-grandsons, Brien and Shannon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie. Father Antonio Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sun Prairie. Friends may call on Sunday, June 18, 1995 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home in Sun Prairie, WI.
"As an original resident, Lois developed many special friendships during her 14 years at Colonial View". A special thank you to Dr. Priest and to Hospice Care for their loving care of Lois. The family has requested that memorials be made to Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society.
