Ernest Lustfeld was born in Rehburg, Hannover, Germany the son of Frederick Lustfeld & Sophia Lustfeld. He came to US in 1882, aged 16yrs. Ernest was a business man. He married Edith May Boyd on Oct 22, 1896. She was an Irish girl; he was the only one of his sibling to not marry a German. They raised their family in Paullina,, O'brien, IA. In 1925, they moved to Grinnell,IA & by 1930 to Chicago, IL. He died in 1940, survived by his widow, & 3 children: Julia Lustfield, Wm W.Lustfield & Margie Watkins, all of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Henry & Fred, a sister, Sophia Fiddelke and a daughter, Alice.
