Jo worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad in the town of her birth, Pasco, Washington, for 25 years and the Southern Pacific Railroad in California for 18 years.
After moving to Columbia in 1986, she lead an active life as a docent at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, volunteering at the Tuolumne County Senior Center and attending the Sonora Baptist Church in Sonora. Her memberships included the Parkway Baptist Church in Dublin, California,
She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Dublin, the Ladies Auxiliary, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the 50-Plus Club of Twain Harte, the Transportation Communications Union for more than 50 years and the Sierra Foothill Women's Club.
She enjoyed playing bridge.
She moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 2009 to be near her daughter who survives her. She also leaves two sons, a brother and extended family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Mickey" Musgrave, and a brother, Jo was laid to rest in the Columbia City Cemetery.
