Funeral for Mrs. Clara A. Brewer, 78, of 308 Brookhaven SW, who died Wednedsay at her residence, was to be today at 2 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. W.K. Stephenson officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Dan A. Brewer of Decatur; three sons, Albert P Brewer of Decatur. Joe F. Brewer of Florence and Col. Harry Brewer of Langley Air Force Base, Va; a daughter, Mrs. Gary Rodgers of Decatur; a brother, Ray Lee Yarber of Belmont, Miss; a sister, Mrs. Morgan Davis of Red Bay; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Greg Brewer, Jeff Brewer, Danny Rodgers, Jim Cooper, Mark Calhoun and Bob Yarber.
Mrs. Brewer was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was the memorial chairman of the American Cancer Society for the past 12 years.
The family suggests any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
