Vera Ellenburg Harvell, 91, of Arab died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Hospice of Marshall County's Shepherd's Cove.

Mrs. Harvell was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Arab to John Thomas and Mattie Edmondson Ellenburg. She was married to Charley Edward Harvell, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Grassy Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Frances Harvell, grandchildren Terry Lynn Piland, Thomas Harvell, Stacey Hale, Wendy Brown, Toby Harvell, Tracy Harvell, ShaRee Harvell, Paula Rufe, Nicholas Harvell, nine great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and one sister, Arnettie Wright, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by four sons: Henry Harvell, James Harvell, Jimmy Harvell and Charles Harvell; nine brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Aaron Black, Danny Ellenburg, Tommy Ellenburg, David Harvell, Steve Harvell, Thomas Harvell, Zachary Piland and Jimmy Hanson.
