RAYMOND YOUNG TAKEN BY DEATH
Local Ex-Service Man Dies in Hospital — Funeral Friday.

Raymond (Brigam) Young, 46, of this city, a World war veteran, died at 8:45 o'clock last night in a government hospital at Danville, Ill., where he have been a patient for approximately four years.

The body was brought here today and is at the Flanigan, Reed & Hull funeral home where services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon conducted by the Rev. C.F. Ault of the East Columbus Methodist church. Burial will be made in Garland Brook cemetery.

The casket will be open at the funeral home Thursday afternoon until time of the funeral.

Mr. Young was born in Brown county, but came here when a child. For many years he was employed at the Hawcreek leather company. During the war, he served with the second regiment, French tank corps, and was overseas 15 months. He was well known and well liked.

Surviving are his wife, two children, Naomi and Donald Raymond; his father, Andrew Putman Young; two brothers, Cleo, of this city, and Glenn of Dayton, O., and a step-sister, Mrs. Paul Morledge of this city.
