Marie Regina Adams Nixon

Age 81, of Carneys Point, NJ, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2010.

She was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. She was born on February 9, 1929 to Maurice and Anna Whelan Morrow in Philadelphia and lived the majority of her life in Carneys Point. Marie was the loving mother of seven children, grand mother of thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great -grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Adams in 1959 and Bill "Pop" Nixon in 2000, as well as her son David Adams in 1993. She was also predeceased by her parents and four siblings. Marie is survived by her children, Steven (Michelle) Adams, George (Patti) Adams, Richard (Susan) Adams, Lori (Terry) Buckner, Cindy Johnson and Bill Nixon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Adams, Alyssa Adams, Michael (Jamie) Parkell, Helen (Dante) Spina, William (Daphne) Adams, Patrick (Laura) Buckner, Amy (Joshua) Hoffman, Justine Adams, Stephanie Adams, Monica Adams, Christian (Kristi) Johnson, Jeremy (Kate) Johnson, Rachelle (Brian)Thomas, fifteen great-grandchildren and her brother, John Christy.

Marie enjoyed gardening and reading, but most of all she took great joy in spending time with her loving family.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 16th from 9:30-11 am, in the Sharptown United Methodist Church where services will follow at 11 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
