She was born October 16, 1917, the eldest daughter of Lawrence and Ella (Dowell) Berkshire.
In 1936, she married John Forrest Dutton who preceded her in death in 1967.
In September 1968 she married Gene Lewis, who survives.
Before retirement Rosella worked as a secretary at Leighty Brothers Wholesale and as a bookkeeper at Rich-Law Service Company in Lawrenceville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, two infant grandchildren, and one sister, Ada Sharrett. Rosella was a member of the First Christian Church in Bridgeport and in 1968 transferred her membership to White House Christian Church.
She served as a pianist for the White House Christian Church for many years.
Surviving: her husband, Gene Lewis of route 3, Sumner; one son, Lawrence "Larry" Dutton and wife Pat of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Linda Leighty and husband Ron of Mt. Carmel; one step-daughter, Jo Heath of Dundas; three sisters, Miriam Baltzell of route 2, Sumner, Carol Starkman of Titusville, FL and Margaret Wolfe of Vincennes, IN; 11 grandchildren, Jon Dutton and wife Linda, Todd Dutton and wife Kristy, Randy Dutton and wife Kim, Marc Leighty and wife Karla, Amy McGill; ten great-grandchildren, Dallas Dutton, Andrea Dutton, Brette Dutton, Katie Tykal, Tyler and Zachary Dutton, Nicklaus and Abbey Leighty, Peyton and Kelsey McGill; two step-great-great-grandchildren, Josh Heath and Anna Grace Dutton; step-grandchildren, Sarah Opperman and husband Curt, Shawn Waters and wife Del; step-great-grandchildren, Taylor, Victoria, Audrey, Breyden Opperman and Josh Heath and Evan Waters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport, IL.
Burial was in the White House Cemetery, rural Bridgeport.
