Donald Smith, 74
POWAY - Donald R. Smith died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, of a heart attack.
Born Dec. 4, 1929, in Long Beach, he lived in Poway for four years and was a self-employed general contractor. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 54 years, [living] of Poway; daughter and son-in-law [living] and [living] of Escondido; brother and sister-in-law [living] and [living] of Auburn; sister and brother-in-law [living] and [living] of Borrego Springs; and grandchildren [living] and [living].
A visitation is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, with a funeral at noon, both at the El Camino Memorial Park Chapel. Entombment will follow at El Camino Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial donations to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 Crest St., Escondido, CA, 92025.
El Camino Mortuary is handling arrangements.
