Ronald D. Merideth, 67, of Sherwood Lane, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Mr. Merideth attended Indiana Business College and retired in 1995 from Indiana Bell, now Ameritech, as a lineman. After retirement, he worked for merci (Maintenance Electric Repair Company Inc.).

He was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed hiking in the Smoky Mountains, golf and vintage cars.

A private funeral service and entombment will be conducted today at Garland Brook Mausoleum, with Dan Wallace officiating.

Calling will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Born in Trenton, N.J., April 7, 1943, Mr. Merideth was the son of Ralph P. and Lois Hammans Merideth. He married Carolyn Voland on March 20, 1965, in Nashville. She preceded him in death June 21, 2009.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Hammans Merideth of Columbus; a daughter, Lisa S. (Todd) McNealy of Columbus; a son, Todd D. Merideth of Hilton Head, S.C.; a grandson, Seth A. McNealy of Columbus; and a sister, Sherry (Stephen) Spinner of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father Oct. 7, 2007, and his wife.
