Harry M. McClelland was born April 8, 1911 in Ivanhoe, Bulloch County, Georgia. The youngest of ten children, he was the son of William Madison McClelland and Manie Veranda Glisson McClelland. His wife was Sadie D. Price McClelland Jones, and they had two children: Francis "Frank" Arlington McClelland and Harry Melville "H. M." McClelland who were raised in Ludowici, Long County, Georgia. After their divorce, Sadie remarried, to Wayne Macord "Brown" Jones. Harry was a World War II veteran. He died June 11, 1963 in Bulloch County and is buried at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County. His ancestry was Scots, Scots-Irish, English, German, and--through the Martin and Strickland surnames--Native American (Lumbee).

Thanks so much to his sister Nevada McClelland Bell for much of this information. I hope someone will add a photo of Harry as an adult. Any errors, however, are mine alone. Please go to the "edit" link on this site with any corrections or additions. If a closer relative than I would like to manage this burial site, please let me know.
