On August 20, 1968, he was a crewman of a Douglas Skywarrior Attack Aircraft (RA-3B) over Quang Nam, South Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
