Major League Baseball Player. Born in Gillett, Philadelphia, he was a third baseman making his debut with the Philadelphia Athletics on September 1941. For parts of four seasons, he played with the Philadelphia Athletics (1941, 1946-47) and St. Louis Cardinals in 1951. After serving in World War II, he ended his career with a record of 32 hits, 11 runs scored, 2 homeruns, 22 runs batted in and a .241 batting average. He died at age 61 in Elmira, New York.
