*** Sergeant Parker was a member of Company E, 20th Infantry Regiment. On February 6, 1969, he was swimming at a beach in Phu Yen Province, South Vietnam. A wave washed him off his air mattress then the undertow took him below the surface of the ocean. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
