Mrs. Mary A. Crayne, 95 years, widow of Stephen Crayne, died Friday, February 12, 1960, in her home on the Jefferson road, Waynesburg R. D. 2. Mrs. Crayne was one of the oldest residents of Greene County, and had enjoyed excellent health and was active until her last illness two weeks ago. She was the oldest member of the Coallick Methodist Church and had resided all her married life on the Crayne family homestead. Her husband died in 1937. Mrs. Crayne was a daughter of William and Martha Turner Gordon and was born November 29, 1864, in Washington Township. Surviving are one son, D. W. Crayne, at home; two daughters, Callie Crayne, at home, and Louise, wife of Allison Phillips of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Herbert C. Davis of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Ellen, wife of William W. Garrison of Waynesburg; and five great-grandchildren, Terry, Beverly and Ellen Davis, and Debbie and Ross Garrison.
