YOUNG.--In the death of the Rev. William Young, of Trenton, Ontatio, Canada, at age 82, Canada loses another of her aged veteran ministers who laid so grandly and well the foundation of that Methodism which has become the largest and most successful Church in the Dominion. Father Young was converted through the instrumentality of the Rev. Wyatt Chamberlin, and received into the ministry by Bishop Elijah Hedding, and ordained by the Rev. Mr. Harvard, one of Rev. Dr. Thomas Coke's companions on his 1st voyage to India. Mr. Young was a subscriber to The Christian Advocate for over forty years. Ripe for heaven, he peacefully passed away in the bosom of his family July 2. Six of his sons, two of them honored Methodist ministers, were his pall-bearers.
