Charles Edgar Fulkerson was born near Vienna, Mo. July 21, 1887. He was
the son of Jacob and Nancy Fulkerson. Most of his life was spent in the
western part of the United States. He served in the World War I until
receiving an honorable discharge. After that he spent some time in this
county and was a member of the local Legion Post. Because of ill health
he was placed in veterans hospitals in various parts of the country, the
most recent being one in Illinois.
Ed as he was called by relatives and friends, was a student of the Bible
and lived faithfully according to his belief. He is survived by a
brother, Albert Fulkerson of Crocker, Mo. one half sister, Irma Bade of
Union, Mo., one half brother Herbert Eads of Rolla; one step brother
Alfro Eads of Iberia, two stepsisters, Stella Roberson of Stickney and
Myrtle Hall of Williard, Mo., a number of friends and other relatives.
Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Birmingham Funeral Home, being
conducted by Rev. Henry McDowell. Interment was made at the Vienna
Cemetery. Pall bearers were Leslie Terry, Charles Liesman, Tim Tackett,
Virgil Eads, Chas. Kehr and John Parker, all legionaires.
