Eric P Baker, 24, of Lafayette Avenue died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at his home.

He was a 1992 graduate of Columbus North High School and attended Sheldon-Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska.

Private funeral will be conducted today at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street with the Rev. Clem Davis officiating. There will be no public calling. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Columbus Regional Hospital Blood Bank.

Mr. Baker was born in Lubbock, Texas, March 10, 1974, the son of Philip M. and Marilyn S. Clerkin Baker of Columbus.

Other survivors include sisters, Amy Stewart and Mariel Baker, both of Columbus; a brother, Kris Baker of Seymour; and grandparents, Violet M. Clerkin and Joe and Lois Baker, both of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Robert L. Clerkin; and a great-grandmother, Edythe McKay.
