NOTE:
As told me by "Bettie" (Boggess) Watson:

On 1 October 1881, Mary Melinda took her five daughters to her mother's home some distance away, because of trouble with her husband. Amelia (Boggess) Robinson, her mother, would not harbor them, so they returned home to find John ranting mad. He grabbed a poker iron, beating Mary and daughter Ada to death, while other four daughters looked on. John was sent to and died in the Weston's West Virginia Asylum hospital where he was buried in 1902.

Census: 1880, age 9 Harrison county, West Virginia

Death: cause, murdered by father in Sardis district, Harrison county, West Virginia NOTE: Harrison county and state on line, death records have year as 1882 of which we found to be incorrect. Informant, an Robinson couisn.

NOTE: David Swiger on 28 MAR 2012 reported, to wit:
Mary is buried along with her daughter Ada in the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery under the name "Mary M Robinson". Ada is under the name "Adie Robinson" They are there with her maternal grandparents, George W and Amelia (Boggess) Robinson.

Father: John Robert Boggess b: 11 NOV 1839 in Virginia, now West Vrginia
Mother: Mary Melinda Robinson b: 6 MAY 1845 in Virginia, now West Virginia
