Elmore J. Leonard, Sr. , 55, manager of the Rio Grande Motor Co. died suddenly Thursday afternoon at McBride Hospital. Death came after a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Leonard came here in 1948 and had managed the motor firm since that time. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided there until he joined General Motors and traveled extensively through the United States.
Surviving is the widow Flora; one daughter; Mrs. Joseph Mackley of Washington D.C., a son; Elmore J Leonard Jr., a student at Detroit University, Detroit, Michigan.
