Frances C. Vorwald Olinger, 89, of Taylor Road, Columbus, Ind., died Friday, May 11, 2007, at 1:21 a.m. at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Mrs. Olinger was the former franchise holder for the Columbus Dairy Queen restaurants. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Christian Service Guild of the church.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Hathaway-Myers Dignity Memorial Chapel, 1022 Pearl St., Columbus, Ind., officiated by Pastor Mark Teike. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School or Camp Lakeview.

Mrs. Olinger was born October 10, 1917, in Milton, Ky., the daughter of Henry E. and Stella Green Sachleben. She married John W. Vorwald on May 15, 1938, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1982. She then married Dr. Bertram B. Olinger on October 27, 1984, and he died September 1, 1990.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Dr. Natalie (Brad) Olinger Stine of Columbus; a stepson, Steven Olinger of Ovid, Mich.; nephews, Charles (Sandy) Fox of Columbus, Ohio, N. Ted (Dee) Fox of Whiteland, Ind., James H. (Paula) Sachleben of Columbus, David L. (Bev) Sachleben of New Palestine, Ind.; a great-nephew, Jon Fox of Shelbyville, Ind.; and step grandchildren, Clayton and Elinor Stine of Columbus and Matthew Olinger of Mooresville, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a sister, Annette Ford; brothers, Frank and J. Leonard Sachleben; and a nephew, Tom Fox.
