"JORDAN - James M. Jordan, 58, of 337 Waverly, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Onalaska, Texas, and had lived in Corpus Christi since 1939. He was a retired supervisor for the United States Post Office and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church and was active with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. ... Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Methodist Church with Dr. Carolyn Stapleton and Dr. Charles Giesler officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends may make donations to the St. John's United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society, or to a favorite charity. Cage-Mills Everhart Chapel."
