Mass of Christian burial for Eileen Walport will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette with the Revs. Karl Millis and Tim Martinson as celebrants.

Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Casper.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Walker Funeral Home with a vigil service and rosary at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Walport, 75, of Gillette, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, after a long illness in Aurora, Colo.

She was born April 11, 1935, the daughter of Joseph A. and Alice (Gallager) Vaughn in Austin, Minn. She attended school and graduated from high school in Austin in 1953.

She married Jim Walport on June 18, 1964. They have called Gillette their home since 1982.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for Wyoming Automotive from 1965 through 1976. She was an active member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, as well as the Council of Catholic Woman.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and even attempted sewing quilts. She loved to travel with her husband in their motor home, especially trips to Reno, Nev., and Deadwood, S.D. She loved to gamble but never with more then she could afford to lose.

She is survived by her husband of Gillette; sons, Andrew of Lander; Patrick of Gillette; brother, Ken Vaughn of Austin; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Don and Dale Vaughn.

A memorial has been established to benefit the Knights of Columbus. Memorials and condolences may be sent in her name in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716.
