Homer Hargrave was a graduate of the University of Indiana, Bloomington. He was a prominent stockbroker in Chicago and was at one time the president of the Chicago Board of Trade. With his first wife Leah (Loso) Hargrave he was the father of Homer (Aka Buzz) Hargrave and Judy Hargrave Coleman.
After the death of his first wife, he married the former Kathleen Morrison at Crown Point, IN in 1937. Kathleen was better known as screen actress Colleen Moore. They remained married until Homer's death in 1964.
