She was the wife of Emil Hemenway, Eureka; mother of Mrs. Thomas (Mary Lou) Bronzo, McKinleyville; Mrs. Richard (Susan Ann) Hutchison, Eureka; sister of Mrs. Vera Atwill, Iberia, Mo.; James W. Eads, Iberia, Mo.; Mrs. Deal Woolery , Iberia, Mo.; Mrs. Veta Claiborn, Jefferson City, Mo.; Mrs. Katherine Adams, St. Louis, Mo.; H. Ford Eads Cleburne, Texas, She leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hemenway was a native of Iberia, Mo., age 56 years. She had resided in Eureka for the past 39 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eureka; Camellia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Christian Woman's Association; Retired Teacher's Association, and the Presbyterian Mariners.
She had taught in Eureka City Schools for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Pierce Mortuary, Seventh and H Streets, Eureka, Friday, May, 20, 11 a.m. with the Rev. James M. Brown, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Casketbearers will be Harry Tunini, Sandy Wilson, John Pifferini, Fred Hibler, Alan Nilsen and Eugene Carrico. Honorary Bearers will be Clyde Scott, William Erickson, Harold Nelson, and John McLaughlin.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a favorite Christian organization.
Friends may call at the chapel of Pierce Mortuary Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m.
